For as long as I can remember, I've felt a little different. Growing up, I often struggled to find people who truly understood me. Sport became my outlet, a place where I could challenge myself, clear my head, and make sense of the world around me.
Over the years, life took me through some incredibly difficult chapters. I then moved across the world from England to the United States, experienced loss, heartbreak, and moments where I felt completely lost in who I was and where I belonged. Through it all, movement was a constant.
But it wasn't until I found myself rebuilding my life in Miami Beach that I discovered what running could really give me. I found a community. People from completely different backgrounds, with different stories, experiences, and reasons for showing up. Yet somehow, through something as simple as running together, we connected. I found people who saw me, understood me, and accepted me exactly as I was. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I'd found my people. And that changed my life.
I created Naked Soul because I've experienced firsthand just how powerful genuine human connection can be. I know what it feels like to be lost, and I know the difference that one person, one conversation, or one community can make. I wanted to build something that gives others the opportunity to experience that same sense of belonging. A community where we celebrate individuality, lead with kindness, and look beyond the surface to see the person standing in front of us. Where you don't have to prove anything, pretend to be anyone, or run a certain pace to belong.
The philosophy of 一期一会 (Ichigo Ichie) sits at the heart of Naked Soul. Every encounter is unique, and we may never experience that exact moment again. I believe we have a responsibility to make those moments count. Because you never know what someone else is going through, or how much a genuine connection might mean to them.
Running brought me the people who helped change my life. Naked Soul is my way of paying that forward.

一期一会 comes from the Japanese tea ceremony. Literally "one time, one encounter", it reminds us that each gathering happens only once and can never be repeated — so it deserves our full presence.
Every run, every new face, every unexpected connection is a moment that can never be repeated. We believe in honouring these moments, because you never know how much a single conversation, a small act of kindness, or a chance encounter could mean to someone.
